Festive Funerals?

Driving to my parents house, we passed a funeral home gaily decorated for Christmas. Is it just me or should the funeral be a somber occassion free of wreaths, lights and other holiday decor? Perhaps the funeralgoers or even the deceased are not Christians. Are the dreidels and kinaras displayed inside? Just a thought…
